Maysville handing out drinking water as city endures boil order

By NewsPress Now
Usually boil advisories and orders come and go within a few days, but the city of Maysville has been dealing with unsafe drinking water for weeks.
Maysville has been under a boil order since Aug. 28, according to the city’s website, due to high turbidity levels.
Residents have taken to online community pages to discuss concerns and share thoughts about the boil order. While some don’t find the boil order entirely disruptive, others are finding the conditions problematic for their daily lives.
The city is distributing drinking water today at the DeKalb County Road and Bridge building at 600 E. Main St. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
