Annual South Side Fall Festival returns

One St. Joseph staple is back for the weekend, with fun food choices and activities.

The South Side Fall Festival is happening at Hyde Park from Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 22.

One vendor at the festival has owned her business for about four years. She says the South Side Fall Festival serves as a good memory that’s a great boost for business. 

“I live in St. Joseph and I always went to the South Side Festival,” said Miranda Phillips, owner of Red. “So I thought all of the people, then it would be a good place to show my product.”

Phillips specializes in making soaps, sprays and body butters.

The South Side Fall Festival parade will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday at King Hill Avenue, with this year’s Grand Marshall’s being Della Smith and Korigan Smith- a grandmother and grandson duo.
