A Farmington, Minnesota woman is dead and five people are injured after a pair of early morning crashes in Dekalb County Sunday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the first accident occurred at 5:00 a.m. as 38-year-old Luci N. Pineda of Farmington, Minnesota drove her 2000 Toyota 4Runner on I-35 South, just North of Cameron.

She reportedly crossed into the median and overcorrected, causing her car to flip and rest across both lanes of traffic. A pair of passengers, Yefri A. Salines and Nexy G. Escobar, both 27-year-old St. Paul, Minnesota residents, suffered serious and minor injuries respectively. Each was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Neither was reportedly wearing a seatbelt.

Pineda reportedly exited her car and stood in the roadway.

About five minutes after the first accident, 34-year-old Kansas City man Archie Seneh, driving South, struck Pineda’s vehicle, and Pineda herself. Pineda was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:55 a.m.

56-Year-old Lindie J. Seneh and 36-year-old Regina N. Seneh, riding in Archie Seneh’s car, received serious and moderate injuries respectively. An unnamed male infant in Pineda’s car suffered minor injuries.

Regina Seneh and the infant were taken to Liberty Hospital.

Lindie Seneh was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the crash report.
