Chamber of Commerce recognizes members

The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce is showing gratitude to its members this week with its annual Member Appreciation Days.
President and CEO of the Chamber Natalie Hawn explained the purpose of Member Appreciation Days.
“So we’re just celebrating and thanking our members for the support that they give us and the support that they give the community,” Hawn said. “These are all local business folks that have either worked for a business here in St. Joseph or have a business here in St. Joseph. We’ll be having festivities all week and it’s just really a way for us to celebrate local businesses and say thank you for their investment to St. Joseph.”
Members enjoyed a free lunch Tuesday with Chamber staff and board members. The goal was to not only show appreciation, but to also offer networking opportunities.
Similarly, the Chamber hosted a happy hour Wednesday, and will hand out coffee and donuts to members from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Friday is the “Foodie FriYAY” event from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Don Tolly, a member of the Chamber board, shared the importance of members getting involved with the Chamber.
“If you join the Chamber and get active, it’s going to be an opportunity to network with other Chamber members, find out what’s going on in this community and be part of the good things going on in St. Joseph, Missouri,” Tolly said.
