Cook Road Bridge will undergo multiple improvements when work begins there later this month.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close Cook Road from North 38th Street to the driveway entrance of Renovation Church on June 24. The project will widen the bridge, its driving surface will be replaced and a sidewalk will be added to the south side of the bridge.

Interstate 29 will be closed in both directions at three different stages of the project, which include demolition, placement of girders and girder painting. Drivers will be detoured on Interstate 229 during this time.

MoDOT will provide timetables for these closures when they are available. The project is estimated to be completed in October.
