The United Way of Greater St. Joseph is helping to provide fans for those who need cool air during the summer.

The United Way’s Board Leadership recently approved the purchase of fans to give out to those in need, according to a release from the organization.

The fans will be available at four locations around town:

  • United Way of Greater St. Joseph, (816) 364-2381
  • Interserv, (816) 238-4511
  • Northwest Missouri Community Services, (816) 364-1131
  • The Salvation Army, (816) 232-5824

Community members without air conditioning are encouraged to reach out to the agency building that is closest to them and arrange a pick-up of the fan.

According to a release from the United Way, fans were made available through support from area residents and businesses through the organization’s annual fundraising campaign.
