Fiber optic installation will cause lane closures June 4 on 28th Street.

The work will take place on both the north and south lanes of the roadway in the area between Oak and Walnut streets, according to Sellenriek Construction, the group that will oversee the project.

The north lane will be closed from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the south lane will be closed from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

According to a statement from Sellenriek, the hope is that the road construction will be finished in one day.

Drivers are advised to pay attention to traffic control during the time roadwork is taking place.
