Resurfacing projects to impact multiple counties in Northwest Missouri

By Cameron Montemayor
Four Northwest Missouri counties, including Buchanan, will see several resurfacing projects carried out over the five months.
The Missouri Department of Transportation in tandem with Herzog Contracting Corp, will kick off road construction on Gentry County Route CC on Monday, June 3, before moving to Missouri Route 48.
Route CC will be closed and Route 48 will be narrowed to one lane during construction. A pilot car will be on hand to help guide motorists through the work zone Monday through Friday during daylight hours.
Two Buchanan County routes, Route 59 and 45, are scheduled for later construction in September. Route 45 work will start on Sept. 18, followed by Route 59 on Sept. 24.
For Route 45, it will be a near Sugar Lake from the Buchanan/Platte County line to U.S. Route 59. The section on U.S. Route 59 will be from Route 45 to the Amelia Earhart Bridge.
MoDOT officials said motorists should expect delays.
Remaining routes tentatively scheduled to be resurfaced this year:
Andrew County Route E — June 26.
Andrew/DeKalb counties Route 169 — Aug. 8.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October.
