The victim of the shooting has been identified as 55-year-old Jeff S. Epps, who was treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound and later released.

Law enforcement and EMS initially arrived on the scene of Ninth and Powell streets around 7:30 p.m. after reports of shots fired. Police Chief Paul Luster said when they arrived, they found an adult man shot with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.

Three people were arrested at the scene at 812 Powell St., including one juvenile and another individual with an active warrant.

At this time, none of the individuals have been charged in connection with the shooting incident. Police are in the early stages of their investigation.

Several police vehicles, including a Special Response Team vehicle, were stationed outside of the house for more than three hours.
