St. Joseph Figure Skating Club presents ‘Beauty and the Beast’ this weekend

Fans of the classic “Beauty and the Beast” will have a chance to catch a special production of the show on ice this weekend. 

The St. Joseph Figure Skating Club show is a musical production, with sets, lights and all the works, plus the extra frill of being on skates.

The cast is made up of all ages, ranging from skaters as young as 5 years old to adults as well.

“I’m most excited to see it all come together and to hear the audience laugh,” director Klaranda Behrens said. “There’s some highlights and humor to it as well as, you know, the classic love story and the dramatic portion of it, too, so I’m excited to see the range of emotions.”

The show will be hosted 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets can be purchased for $8 in advance or $10 at the door at Bode Ice Arena.
