The St. Joseph Community Alliance is looking for a new leader.

Tama Wagner, who has served as director since 2019, is leaving the Community Alliance to pursue another opportunity. Her last day will be April 12.

The Community Alliance is made up of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, the City of St. Joseph, Buchanan County, the St. Joseph School District, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mosaic Life Care, Missouri Western State University and the 139th Airlift Wing of the Missouri Air National Guard.

In her role, Wagner has guided the Imagine St. Joseph 2040 plan for the Community Alliance, which promotes a shared vision for St. Joseph through collective input from citizens.

A timeline for hiring a new director hasn’t been established.

“We want to thank Tama for her dedication to the Community Alliance and moving the St. Joseph community forward through pursuing the goals established by the Imagine St. Joseph 2040 plan,” said Dr. Gabe Edgar, Superintendent of the St. Joseph School District and chairman of the Community Alliance Board. “We wish her the best in her next endeavor.”
