Reward available in connection to stolen Corby Park statue

As the St. Joseph Police Department continues to investigate the stolen statue at Corby Park, an anonymous resident has provided an extra incentive to those with information to provide.
A $1,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can provide information that leads to an arrest.
“It’s not something that happens often when people want to come forward with monetary rewards and things like that,” said Commander David Hart with the police department. “What is common is this community coming together and working together to deal with these issues. So we’re very grateful for all the help that we get and those partnerships that we build.”
This investigation is still in its early stages. Capt. Jeff Wilson said in a statement that the statue was stolen between March 1-4.
“We’ve got a couple-day window over a weekend of when it was last seen, when somebody noticed it,” Hart said. “It’s not the first time we’ve had this issue, and so it’s something that we’re looking at pretty hard.”
Many residents have offered help where they can in hopes of the statue being retrieved soon. The police department requests any and all information that can be provided.
“If you see something, if you remember something, call us and let us know,” Hart said. “Take advantage of Crime Stoppers, P3 tips, you can make anonymous reports to us or you can make in-person reports to us. We rely on the people in the community who are seeing these things and have this information to come forward and share it with us.”
