Possible Super Bowl berth means more Chiefs merchandise

On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to make their fourth Super Bowl appearance in the last five seasons.
Before this run started, the team hadn’t made a Super Bowl in five decades, a stunning turnaround that fans are making sure to cherish.
One way fans have been commemorating this era has been through merchandise. New designs pop up constantly during the playoffs.
This year is no different, as Andy Reid’s frozen mustache and Taylor Swift have inspired new designs. Fans don’t have to wait long for the new items to hit shelves everywhere.
“Typically it’s within 24-48 hours,” said Taylor Faucett, store manager at Rally House. “A lot of times they have already come up with the slogans and designs. Buyers look for that and then they purchase, so we get them into the store really quick.”
As busy as stores are right now, they will only get busier if the Chiefs can beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
With the wave of fans that will be looking for official Super Bowl LVIII gear as soon as possible, stores will have reinforcements ready if needed.
“We’ve hired 12 new people to come in starting next week with the win,” Faucett said. “We let them know that this is a temporary position. It has a chance of being zero weeks, two weeks or six weeks.”
Kick off for the AFC Championship game tomorrow is at 2pm of KCJO Channel 30.
