A local coffee shop is working to make a difference.

The Human Bean will host another “Coffee for a Cure” event in partnership with Mosaic Life Care. From 5 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, all money from sales and tips will go toward the Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.

The Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary will then match money from sales and tips to help area breast cancer patients.

In 2023, The Human Bean collected more than $18,000 through the fundraiser. With the auxiliary match, $36,000 in total was donated.

In the past eight years, The Human Bean has donated $73,000, and the auxiliary has matched that amount, for a total of almost $146,000 given to assist local cancer patients.
