The Downtown Library is hosting a blood drive on Friday, Oct. 4.

The event, a partnership with the Community Blood Center, will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 927 Felix St.

In recognition of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the organizations are working to donate as much blood as possible to save lives. Donors must bring a photo ID.

To make an appointment to donate, visit savealifenow.org/group and enter group code EI3N. Walk-ins will be accepted if there is space available.
