Those who use immunization, pregnancy and other services at the St. Joseph Health Department Clinic need to be aware of some new hours of operation.

Immunizations are available on a walk-in basis from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Vaccines will not be available on the afternoon of the last business day of the month when staff conducts inventory. When coming in for shots, people are asked to bring a copy of the most recent immunization record and an insurance card. Children younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

For additional information on vaccines, call 816-271-4725.

Pregnancy testing is offered by appointment from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Friday. The cost is $5. A case management program that provides educational services regarding pregnancy is available, and temporary MO-HealthNet is provided to all who qualify.

Testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV can be done by appointment on Mondays and Thursdays and costs $10. Call 816-271-4725 to schedule an appointment. HIV case management is referred to the Andrew County Health Department, which is the regional provider for Northwest Missouri.

The Baby and Me Tobacco Free Program is available by appointment by calling 816-271-5328. It helps pregnant women quit smoking. Those who stay tobacco-free during pregnancy can earn vouchers of up to $400 per person or $700 with a partner who also quits using tobacco.

Clinic services are located on the first floor of the Patee Market Health Center at 904 S. 10th St. in Suite B, except the Baby and Me Tobacco Free program, which is on the second floor.
