Blood donors in St. Joseph will get the chance this month to not only save lives, but potentially win a sports trip along with it.

St. Joseph’s Downtown Library and Community Blood Center are partnering to host a blood drive event on Friday, June 28, at the Downtown library.

The library and blood center aren’t the only ones joining in on the event. In a special twist, the Kansas City Royals will partner with the blood drive as well.

Donors who give blood between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. will receive a Royals T-shirt and two tickets to a game while supplies last.

Persons with disabilities who wish to participate in the program should contact the ADA coordinator at 816-232-4038.

While appointments are preferred, walk-ins will be available if space permits. Those interested can sign up by going to savealifenow.org/group and entering the group code: EI3N.
