ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Elwood-St. Joseph has a new chief executive officer.

Todd Sandberg is taking the helm of the medical rehabilitation hospital that treats patients with disabling injuries or illnesses such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other medically complex conditions including COVID-19.

Sandberg spent the last 15 years in executive health care leadership roles, including as CEO at two acute care hospitals in Minnesota and a medical rehabilitation hospital in Wyoming. He also has led rehabilitation programs in Illinois, Arkansas and Minnesota.

“Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with adult populations that benefited from specialized rehabilitative care,” Sandberg said. “It’s an honor to now lead the team at ClearSky Elwood-St. Joseph as they continue to provide this higher level of specialized care to the community. It’s truly a blessing to serve patients who come to our facility following strokes or other disabling injuries who are unable to walk, talk, or dress themselves, then leave with a new hope of recovery as they are discharged to their homes.”
