With Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential race, St. Joseph residents say they are unsure what impact the move will have at the polls come November.

”It’s going to be interesting,” St. Joseph resident Peter Cecil said. “Whereas the Chinese say, ‘We live in interesting times,’ both sides are going to have to make up their minds on what they’re going to do. Otherwise, other than that, yeah, I’m disappointed.”

Others said they are relieved to hear Biden has dropped out and is now endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.

”I think it’s long overdue … I think the Democrats would like to put a better candidate out there to try and beat Trump,” St. Joseph resident Trent Roehler said. “Whoever wins, I hope they are really working towards unifying the country because I think that’s what this country needs right now.”
