By LORI PILGER – Lincoln Journal Star, Neb. (TNS)

An 18-year-old man wanted in connection with a murder investigation in Texas was arrested Saturday about 30 miles west of Lincoln, the Nebraska State Patrol said in a news release.

Troopers arrested Luigin Alberto Perez-Millian, of Denver, without incident in a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Goehner, which is in Seward County.

In a news release, the U.S. Marshals Service said its Metro Fugitive Task Force received credible information that Perez-Millian was traveling through Nebraska on I-80 and coordinated efforts with the State Patrol in locating and apprehending him.

As of Monday, Perez-Millian remained in custody in the Seward County Jail and was set to make his first court appearance Tuesday on the extradition proceedings that will seek to return him to Texas to face charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A warrant was issued for his arrest Dec. 18.

According to a related Arlington Police Department press release, the investigation involves an early morning shooting outside a night club Nov. 17 that killed a 23-year-old man.

The victim was found lying unresponsive in the parking lot where he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified him as Janderver Saul Urbina-Betancourt.
