The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a Valparaiso man Thursday after finding guns and explosives at his home, according to a news release.
Booker Holloway, 39, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of an explosive device.
The State Patrol said that on Thursday investigators served a search warrant at Holloway’s residence in Valparaiso.
Troopers located a shotgun, rifle, nine homemade explosives, an opioid pill and a small amount of marijuana.
The shotgun was stolen, according to the State Patrol.
A search warrant was served at Holloway’s residence after the State Patrol received information he was in possession of firearms as a prohibited person.
Holloway is being held at the Saunders County jail.
Holloway was found guilty in 2013 for a role he played in an armed robbery in Lancaster County. He was sentenced to 12 to 18 years in prison but was released in 2020.
During the robbery, Holloway hit a 21-year-old man he was attempting to rob for a laptop over the head with a gun, but the man fought Holloway off and stabbed him nine times with a pocket knife.
The struggle caused Holloway and two other men he was committing the robbery with to flee.
