Capt. Ben Miller said when officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old Lincoln man outside with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Miller said that the suspect in the case is the victim’s 16-year-old brother, who was also at the north Lincoln apartment complex. The 16-year-old said he saw a person in dark clothing and feared for his safety after being attacked by someone on Friday near 21st and K streets. He fired several shots, not realizing the person was his brother, police said.
