2-vehicle crash in Doniphan County, Kan. leads to single fatality

Dec. 26—The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that two individuals are injured and one is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Doniphan County, Kansas, on Christmas day.

According to the KHP report at approximately 8:41 a.m. on Dec. 25, one vehicle was driving north on Kansas Highway Seven while the second vehicle was heading south, the first vehicle crossed the center line and struck the second vehicle head on.

The driver of the first vehicle, Maria A. Keys, 37, of Bendena, Kansas, received minor injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle, Kace R. Keller, 22, from Troy, Kansas, received minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

The occupant of the second vehicle died in the crash.

Katlyn Folsom, 22, of Troy, Kansas was taken to Becker-Dyer Funeral Home by Doniphan County Under Sheriff Mark Allen.

The KHP determined that at the time of the crash Keys and Folsom were wearing seatbelts but Keller was not.
