KBI releases updates on investigation into ex-KCKPD detective death

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has discovered new information in their death investigation of a former Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Detective

The KBI released an update on Thursday, Dec. 5 regarding the autopsy of Roger Golubski, 71, of Edwardsville, Kansas, which was conducted on Wednesday, Dec. 3. 

According to the medical examiner there was a single gunshot wound to Golubski’s temple however a cause of death has not been concluded. 

The medical examiner has said that a final autopsy report to be released after Golubski’s toxicology report is finalized and after the KBI wraps up their investigation, all of which could take up to three months. 

The KBI stated that they have not found any evidence indicating that Golubski was murdered, however, the investigation is ongoing.
