Two injured in rural Clear Lake crash Monday morning

Two people were transported to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries Monday following a two-vehicle accident near Clear Lake.
The injured were Gary Bradshaw, 77, of Clear Lake, and an unidentified passenger, according to a press release from the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash took place shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of 27th Avenue South and South 40th Street.
Bradshaw was traveling east on 27th Avenue when the Kia he was driving slid into the east ditch of 40th Street, according to the sheriff’s office. A Tesla driven by Faisal Radwi, 42, of Clear Lake, was also headed east on 27th Avenue in a Tesla and slid through the intersection, striking Bradshaw’s vehicle in the ditch.
The Clear Lake police and fire departments assisted at the scene.
