One dead, one hurt in collision near Algona

One Webster City man was killed and another injured in a head-on collision in Kossuth County earlier this week, according to a report from the Iowa State Patrol.

Andres Garcia Exposito, 51, died at the scene. Daniel Eugene Murray Jr., 46, was transported by ambulance to the Kossuth Regional Health Center.

The accident took place shortly after 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, in the 1700 block of 210th Street near Algona.

Exposito was driving west on 210th Street when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck Murray’s eastbound vehicle head-on, the Iowa State Patrol report states.

The accident remains under investigation.
