WATERLOO — Authorities are asking the public’s help in locating a woman who fled from a residential facility where she was serving time for firing a gun in 2020.
D’Iona Asia Marie Wilson-Bass, 21, failed to report back to the Waterloo Women’s Center for Change on Monday, according to corrections officials.
She is described as a Black female, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 208 pounds.

She had been placed at the center less than a week before her escape.
Wilson-Bass was convicted of intimidation with a weapon. She allegedly fired a handgun during an argument outside her home on Oaklawn Avenue in October 2020.
She was originally granted probation and a deferred judgment, which would have removed the case from her record. But the deferred judgment was revoked in 2022 because of multiple probation violations, and she was sentenced to prison.
She was released to the Women’s Center for Change on Dec. 17.
