A recount for the Buchanan County Western District Commissioner race will take place next week.

The count will begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, according to officials in the Buchanan County Clerk’s office.

Unofficial results from the county show Democratic incumbent Ron Hook with a narrow 23-vote lead over Republican Challenger Everett Goddard Jr.
