Early votes help fuel voter turnout on election day

Many voters are casting their ballots with a heated presidential race headlining election day.

Early voter turnout in Buchanan County steadily increased in the lead up to today and ballots continue to roll in. As of 3 p.m., nearly 38% of registered voters have cast a ballot, according to the Buchanan County Clerk’s office.

After the final day of no-excuse absentee voting on Friday, over 10% of registered voters cast a ballot.
