North Central Missouri College has a new degree completion partnership with Central Methodist University.

Students at North Central Missouri College have a new option to complete their degree.

The two-year community college has established a partnership with Central Methodist University called Degree Completion – Education Pathway. It is offered to transfer students from North Central who wish to earn a Bachelor of Education degree.

Students will be able to transfer credits from North Central, which has campuses in Trenton and Savannah, and any institution they attended before graduating from there to Central Methodist. Courses in the program will be offered as a hybrid of in-seat and online class sessions.

Studies in the areas of elementary education, early childhood education and special education also will be able to be completed online.

“We are very excited to offer this option to North Central students as part of our ongoing partnership with NCMC,” said Dr. Deborah DeGan-Dixon, associate dean of assurance and regions at Central Methodist. “We’re proud to extend the flexibility and affordability of a Central education to more students.”

Registration for the first course of the program is already open, as the ED326 Children’s Literature class will be offered in a hybrid format beginning on March 17.

Students interested in the degree completion program can call 660-248-6651, email mrhorer@centralmethodist.edu or visit centralmethodist.edu/admissions/transfer-students/index.html.
