St. Joseph School District attendance is at its highest rate since the COVID-19 pandemic ended.

District officials released the year-to-date attendance report for November, showing rates increased from the August report. District attendance currently sits at 85.89%.

K-12 attendance rates have improved compared to 2023 with ninth grade leading by almost 7% and third, fourth and 11th grades increasing more than 5%. Seniors had the lowest rise at only 0.46%.

Overall, elementary schools are measuring at 89.01% with five buildings above 90%: Field, Ellison, Oak Grove, Pershing and Pickett. Six schools are between 87% and 89.6%: Coleman, Edison, Hosea, Hyde, Parkway and Skaith.

High school rates are at 80.20% with Central leading at 82.40%. Middle school attendance is at 86.17%, with Bode measuring 88.46%.
