Colorado man arrested near Dearborn for suspected drug trafficking.

PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. (News-Press NOW) - Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, a Colorado man was arrested for suspected drug trafficking.
Deputies with the Platte County Sheriff's Office initially attempted to stop a 2001 Toyota pickup for speeding.
After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was stopped at the I-29 rest area, south of Dearborn, Missouri.
In a press release sent to News-Press NOW, a search of the driver and the vehicle resulted in the discovery of over 125.8 grams of suspected Ketamine, 1.5 grams fo suspected cocaine, $126,735 in cash, a 2.21carat diamond and two one-ounce golden bars.
The driver of the vehicle, Kyle Fogarty, of Aurora, Colorado was taken into custody and is currently being held in the Platte County Detention Center.
Sheriff Erik Holland stated, "This is a great example of the work our Patrol Division is doing to remove drugs from our streets. Cases like this show why traffic enforcement is an important part of safety in our community."
The case has been forwarded to the Platte County Prosecutor's Office for their review.
