Suspect in double homicide, kidnapping reported dead

Media outlets are reporting that the suspect allegedly involved in the Friday morning a double homicide and child abduction from Riverside, Missouri, was killed by police.

The Platte County, Missouri Sheriff's Office originally issued an Amber Alert at 5:10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, for a five-year-old child. 

Guiliana Manning was abducted after the suspect killed two individuals in the 4400 block of Northwest 50th Street in Riverside, Missouri on Friday. 

According to the Platte County Sheriff's Office, the suspect was identified as George C. Manning. 

The Sheriff's office shared an update to the case at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, canceling the Amber Alert and reporting that Guiliana was located safe and was reunited with family members. 

At that time, Manning was believed to be armed and driving a stolen vehicle in the metro area. 

Media outlets are now reporting that Manning has been allegedly killed by police.
