Entrepreneur panel offers business advice

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) — Local entrepreneurs shared secrets to success with those looking to develop their own businesses during a panel discussion on Wednesday morning.
The Entrepreneur Hot Topics Panel held at the East Hills Library featured four speakers. Alyson Fisher discussed customer service, Mike Holden spoke on finances, Kardell Sims talked about AI usage and Miu Edlin shared ideas on social media.
Edlin elaborated more on the benefits of social media competency in business.
"We're living in the digital world right now and a lot of marketing is done digitally," Edlin said. "So, I think it's so important for our small businesses and entrepreneurs to know about 'hey, what's going on, what are some hot topics, what are the things online that people are discussing' and things like that."
The panel followed the weekly Cup of Joe meeting, which features two presenters from the local business community every Wednesday morning.
Edlin shared the benefits of having entrepreneurs network and discuss their experiences.
"I'm an entrepreneur myself, so it's so important to surround myself with like-minded people just to learn from them," she said.
Edlin recommends Cup of Joe to business owners in the area.
"I encourage all the entrepreneurs and small business owners to kind of come check us out and be around like-minded people because we do this quite a bit," Edlin said.
