Montemayor Sr., Frank 1941-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Frank Montemayor Sr., 83, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025. He was born Nov. 11, 1941, to Blas and Hope (Ventanzur) Montemayor, in St. Joseph.

He married Ramona C. Guthrie on June 10, 1990.

Frank dedicated over 25 years of his life to ensuring public health and safety as a USDA Meat Inspector.

Frank’s commitment to service extended beyond his professional life. He was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Knights of Columbus. A devout parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe, his faith was a guiding light throughout his life.

An avid sports fan, Frank’s spirit soared alongside the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Survivors include his son, Frank Montemayor Jr. (Eva); brother, Paul Montemayor (Denise); sister, Martha Meng; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Parish Rosary 5 p.m. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will gather with friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
