Smith, Danny R. 1955-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Danny Ray Smith, 69, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in St. Joseph. He was born Dec. 31, 1955, in Cameron, Missouri, son of the late Betty and Burnie Smith.

He worked at Artisian Ice Company. He enjoyed mowing grass, working on small motors, spending times with his friends, and hanging out at Pops Place and Jacksons bar and grill, and going out to breakfast, and scratcher tickets.

Danny was preceded in death by wife, Ronda Smith, and his parents.

Survivors include daughters, Danielle Smith, Tabatha (Matthew) Ellis, Jessia Steele, and Sabrina Kobbe; and a son, Shane Kobbe; mother of Kobbe’s, Kristine Kobbe; grandchildren, Brooklynn, Daeton, Jayden, Cali; and 15 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 2 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home, Rev. Dave Hugger Officiating. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
