Lawyer, Mark A. 1954-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Mark Alan Lawyer, 70, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. He was born Aug. 19, 1954, in St. Joseph, son of Irene (Sullender) and Bernard Lawyer.

Mark attended Helen Davis State School. He retired in 2020 from Specialty Industries after 35 years of dedicated work. He was a sports fan, especially cheering for KU and Arkansas. He also enjoyed going on family vacations.

Mark was preceded in death by biological father, Bernard Lawyer; his mother and step-father, Irened and Lawrence Triplett.

Survivors include brothers, Darren Triplett, Vernie Triplett, both of St. Joseph, and Curtis (Mary) Triplett, of Elwood, Kansas; aunt, Beulah Hendrix, of St. Joseph; and niece, Melody Bunting, of Elwood.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home with Interment following at Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena, Kansas. Memorials are requested to Specialty Industries.
