Hurley, Theresa 1945-2025 Blue Springs, Mo.

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Services for Theresa Hurley will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, in Blue Springs, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. A private memorial service will begin at 11 a.m.
Theresa (Borowski) Hurley, 79, of Blue Springs, passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2025. Born on Oct. 12, 1945, in Fulda, Germany, Theresa was the daughter of Walter and Hattie Borowski.
Her early life was shaped by her family’s survival of World War II and their immigration to the U.S. in 1949, settling in St. Joseph. She married John K. Hurley, on July 28, 1962. Together they raised four children and built a life in Blue Springs.
Theresa began her real estate career in 1979 and became a well-respected Realtor in Jackson County, working with JC Nichols, later Reece & Nichols.
Proud of her Polish heritage, Theresa was known for her hospitality, her delicious cooking and her beautifully kept home. She and John shared a love for travel, with favorite trips including Rome, Maui, Dublin, and a meaningful Baltic Sea cruise to Estonia.
Affectionately known as “Mimi,” Theresa adored her seven grandchildren and remained actively involved in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Richard, Joseph and Eugene; and her daughter, Darcy.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John; children, Estelle (Pat), Tess (Bo), and John (Amy); and grandchildren, Walter, Jeremy, Ava, John Stanley, Nicole, Addison and Kayla. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
