Freeborn Jr., Chester W. 1941-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

Chester William Freeborn Jr. was born March 30, 1941, to Chester William and Minnie Ruth (Chapin) Freeborn, at home near Horton, Kansas.
Chester graduated in 1959 at De Kalb, Missouri, R-IV High School. He lived with his mother and step-father, Bobby Clover, for many years while working in St. Joseph.
He worked for the H.D. Lee Company from 1960 to 1966 as a material handler. In September of 1966 he left Lee Company to attend Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Missouri. In 1970 he graduated with a BA degree in English and understudies in Psychology, Sociology and History.
January 1971 Chester was employed with St. Joseph State Hospital as a Psychiatric Aide. After a back injury he changed positions to Clerk II until he retired.
Chester lived his retirement days on a farm with his youngest sister and brother in law near Amazonia, Missouri. Where he collected books, radios, various music albums and CDs. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by four sisters, Norma Wenger, of Houston, Texas, Helen Davis, of Atchison, Kansas, Lois Widner, of St. Joseph, Carol Simpson (Ron), of Amazonia; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
