MSHP identifies deceased suspect in officer-involved shooting

A person was killed in an officer-involved shooting in St. Joseph Thursday morning.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the deceased suspect in Thursday's officer-involved shooting.

Brayden M. Robertson, an 18-year-old St. Joseph man was shot during an exchange of fire in an on-foot pursuit Thursday afternoon.

Robertson was fatally wounded.

During the exchange in gunfire, one officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at Mosaic Life Care.

MSHP said it will continue to investigate the officer-involved shooting. Upon completion, all findings will be forwarded to the Buchanan County Prosecutor's Office for review.
