Musical forces combine for Mozart’s “Requiem”

The Saint Joseph Symphony is joining forces with the Benedictine College Chamber Singers and the Saint Joseph Community Chorus to bring residents an evening of music, legend and mystery.
The groups will be performing Mozart's iconic "Requiem", highlighting what is arguably the composer's most important work.
Mozart began his work on "Requiem" on his deathbed before his student, Franz Xaver Sussmayr, completed the piece after Mozart's death. The piece is known across the globe for its haunting melodies, dramatic intensity and profound emotional depth.
The performance will take place at 7 p.m. on March 22 at the Missouri Theater, located at 717 Edmond St. in Downtown St. Joseph.
Ticket prices range from $21 to $45 and can be purchased through the Saint Joseph Symphony's website at saintjosephsymphony.org. Children and student tickets are half price and can be purchased by calling 816-233-7701.
