Participants march down Frederick Avenue as spectators watch during a previous St. Patrick’s Day Parade in St. Joseph. This year's parade will be on March 15.

St. Joseph residents better grab their luckiest charms and favorite green outfits because the 39th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is just a few weeks away.

This year's parade will begin at noon on Saturday, March 15, at Frederick and Noyes and finish at Eighth and Felix streets. While the parade is still weeks away, organizers are looking for interested families, businesses or political candidates to enter a float and participate in the parade.

The cost to enter the parade is $75, which includes a vehicle and trailer. Floats must have an Irish theme, including decorations and music. To reserve a spot in the parade, visit the Order of Hibernians' website at stjoeaoh.com.

The parade, which has run for decades, benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank with part of the proceeds from float entry fees supporting the nonprofit's efforts.
