Local fans shopped at Rally House just hours after the AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Fans shared their reactions to the Chiefs once again going to the Super Bowl, potentially making history with a three-peat.

With their team on a history-making Super Bowl run, Chiefs fans spent Monday celebrating in St. Joseph.

“It’s been a great season and last night was amazing,” Chiefs fan Brian Prochaska said. “Last week I lost my voice so I couldn’t yell too much last night, but I said, ‘To hell with it’ I am going to lose my voice no matter what, so I started yelling.”

Kansas City fans shopped at Rally House, located at the North Shoppes in St. Joseph, just hours after the AFC Championship game which occurred yesterday evening on Sunday, Jan. 25, between The Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.

Rally House Store Manager Taylor Faucett said all AFC Championship gear was sold out in 45 minutes on Sunday evening.

“It seemed a little bit like we had fewer people last night for the championship,” Faucett said. “But I think people are just so excited for this repeat. I think they’re kind of wanting to hold off and get some of that other product.”

The Chiefs hold a record that makes fans hold their breath. Currently, the Kansas City team is on a 17-game winning streak in games decided by one possession. This leaves many fans stressed throughout the four quarters of every match.

“There’s times I have to go out and just walk in the middle of the game,” 2025 AFC Championship team fan Connie Rehm said. “It has been one heart rendering pounder after another.”

A young fan, Wesley Margritz said his first ever KC game was this past Sunday’s AFC Championship match against the Buffalo Bills.

“It was good,” Wesley said. “I’m a bit upset because we keep winning by field goals. We should start winning by touchdowns not just field goals.”

Whether the game is a nail-biter or a blowout, the Kansas City team have proven that they always get the job done, leaving fans optimistic ahead of the big game.

“I hope we got a Super Bowl coming,” local fan Susie Boyer said. “And I know we do. Three-peat, three-peat I know we got it.”
