Boone County judges Stephanie Morrell and Jayne Pearman will be officially installed in their new roles in an investiture ceremony Friday.

The public ceremony will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Boone County Courthouse Ceremonial Courtroom, 705 E. Walnut St.

Morrell was elected Division III 13th Circuit Court Judge, which serves Boone and Callaway counties in civil and criminal matters, in the Nov. 5 election.

Pearman, of Centralia, was appointed Division XI associate circuit judge in the 13th Circuit Court in December to fill the seat vacated by Morrell.

Morrell was reelected as an associate circuit judge in 2022 to serve a four-year term. Pearman is expected to finish Morrell’s term and serve through 2026.

Six other Boone County officials were sworn into office Tuesday.
