Columbia Police Department relaunches tool for reporting non-emergencies

KNPN

The Columbia Police Department relaunched an online tool to help citizens report non-emergency situations, such as vandalism, lost property and minor thefts.

In a news release Thursday, CPD said the relaunch happened Sunday – residents can report non-emergency incidents at p2c.como.gov.

CPD said the portal offers a convenient option for reporting quickly and efficiently. Citizens may still continue to report information to officers in person as well. The news release said reports made online go to the department’s records management system, where officers and investigators can access them.

“This is a great way to improve our service to the community,” Acting Lieutenant Derek Moore said in the news release. “This system will also help us capture more accurate data on crimes that may go unreported.”
