Single-vehicle crash leaves man with serious injuries

One man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night in Andrew County, about two miles west of Savannah, Missouri.

Mark A. Barnett, 59, of Forest City, Missouri, was westbound on Route T in a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado when he traveled off the road and struck an embankment at about 9:40 p.m.

The vehicle went airborne and came to rest in a grove of trees, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Barnett was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.

It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
