Supporting safe social media use for teens in the digital age

By Brandpoint (BPT)

(BPT) – Social media is now part of everyday life for teens, offering ways to connect and learn. To help ensure they have safe, age-appropriate experiences, Instagram has introduced Teen Accounts, which automatically limits who can contact teens and the content they see, and helps ensure their time is well spent. Teens under 16 will need a parent’s permission to change any of these settings to be less strict. By encouraging open conversations about social media experiences, families can work together to promote safe and positive online habits.
