By Briana Hardiman, 39 News

To many, the New Year is a fresh start, a time to reset and refocus. 39 News spoke to some people in Jackson about their aspirations for 2025.

“My goals are to be blessed. Better than ever this year. To be a better fire battalion chief, to love my family even more. And to be loved by others. Also, real estate.”

Brian said after reflecting on 2024, he wishes he would’ve taken more time to appreciate the little things in life.

“I wish I would have just taken some time just to smell the roses. That means just to acknowledge where you are today. And be blessed in where you are.”

One resident expressed that singing has always been a part of his life. For the upcoming year, he has dreams of becoming a country star.

“Get signed to a record label? You know, get back on my feet, get back to Nashville at some point, and just kick back.”

After speaking to one lady in Jackson, she says that her only goal is to get closer to Christ.

“To love Jesus more. To be kind to others and to just be the person Jesus wants me to be.”

Good luck to those who are chasing big goals in 2025.
