Pet of the Week: Gorgeous cat and lovely dog ready for forever homes

Meet Kara Zor-el!
Kara Zor-el was fostered in a shelter volunteer’s home, so it is especially hard to see her being brought back. But Kara Zor-el, named after a comic book heroine, deserves a home where her owner has time to give her attention and affection. This gorgeous long-haired calico has brilliant markings of fawn, black and white, and the cutest triangular black nose. She is sad to be at the shelter and just wants a second chance at love. This 4-year-old is available right now.
Meet Luther!
This big guy is full of personality and ready to give ALL the love to his forever family. Luther came to the shelter heartworm-positive and has been undergoing treatment while also participating in the Puppies for Parole program. He is housetrained, crate-trained, and knows all of his basic commands. Luther enjoys playing outside, belly rubs, and lots of snacks. He is looking for a family that doesn’t mind him taking up all the space on the couch. If you take him home he promises to make you smile every day.
