A Downtown business hosted an event to help people write out their New Year’s resolutions.

Downtown Frames held a “Create a Craft” class where community members were invited to make New Year’s resolution journals.

The owner of Downtown Frames, Diane Cudworth, said that she hosted this free event to help people keep their resolutions, sharing that the journals help her personally.

“I like doing the journal because that way you can keep track of what you’re doing each month,” Cudworth said. “If I make a decision in January, by April I’ve probably forgotten what I wanted to do.”

Downtown Frames hosts weekly free craft classes on Saturdays to help community members discover their creative side.

“Maybe they’ll learn something,” Cudworth said. “There’s several kids that have come in and discovered that they like art, so maybe they’ll become artists.”

Cudworth explained why the classes are free of charge.

“I keep it free because I’m so close to the Y, I don’t want any kid to be without because of money,” Cudworth said.

People of all ages are welcome at the crafting events.
